Each package includes two nights with breakfast and one experience. Longer stays and special requests can be arranged.
A king sleeps beneath Peca, and his story still lives on among the people of Koroška. Spend a weekend in Črna na Koroškem, visit his cave and discover a landscape where forests, mountains and legends intertwine.
Arrival and check-in at Hiša Matevž. Spend the afternoon strolling around Črna, and in the evening take time to rest and get ready for Saturday's adventure.
After breakfast, meet your guide and set off for the trailhead at Jakobe. Then hike to King Matjaž's cave, hear the tale of his beard and the golden age he promised, and explore the nearby area. At Dom na Peci there is time for a rest and a snack. Back at the hotel, unwind in the saunas.
After breakfast, time for a walk on your own, a coffee or a last look around Črna before you leave.
Transport to and from the trailhead, tourist tax and additional food and drinks are not included. Transport can be arranged in advance for an extra charge.
From the Jakobe trailhead, the hike takes about 3–4 hours including stops. The program is intended for guests used to walking uphill and runs only in suitable snow-free conditions. We confirm the date and route depending on the guide's availability, the weather and access to the trailhead. If the hike is cancelled, we offer an alternative experience by arrangement or a refund for the service not provided.
